Jonathan: “Only thing that will make me sleep well is kicking out APC”

Nigeria’s former president Goodluck Jonathan has not been sleeping well ever since he led his party, the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) to its worst electoral defeat in 2015.

Now he has one mission in order to regain his sleep: Ensure that the PDP returns to power in 2019.

“Whether I like it or not, I must take responsibility for the defeat because I led the party to the election,” Jonathan said when he hosted one of the party’s chairmanship aspirants, Bode George, at his residence in Otuoke, Bayelsa state. “My priority now is how to ensure that the Peoples Democratic Party regains the presidency in 2019… The only thing that will make me sleep well is to ensure that the PDP comes back to power.”
