Acting President Yemi Osinbajo has signed seven bills passed by the national assembly into law.
According to the senior special assistant to the President on national assembly matters, Ita Enang, the acts are mainly amendments to the principal laws and were amended in order to make them conform with current realities.
The bills include Oath (Amendment) Act 2017, Defence Space Administration Act, and Veterinary Surgeons(Amendment) Act).
Other bills signed by Osinbajo are National Film and Video Censors Board, Pension Rights of Judges, Nigerian Institute of Social Science Establishment Act and Mortgage Institutions Amendment Act.
Tomorrow, February 19th, would mark exactly one month since Osinbajo became acting president following the absence of President Muhammadu Buhari, who is in London on medical vacation.
