APC governors: “We’re concerned about frosty relationship between executive and legislature”

The All Progressives Congress (APC) state governors have met with President Muhammadu Buhari reassuring him of their support in the fight against corruption and insurgents in the country.

The meeting which held in the President’s office for about two hours, had in attendance all the governors voted into power under the auspices of the APC, led by their chairman and governor of Imo State, Rochas Okorocha.

Speaking to State House correspondents after the meeting, the Imo State Governor said that it was the first time they were formally meeting the President since his return from London and the Ramadan fast.

The governors said that they were concerned about the frosty relationship between the executive and legislative arms of government, promising to look into it.

On the state of their economy, following the inability of some of them to pay salaries at the inception of the administration, the governors said that things are beginning to look up following the rise in oil pump price and that Nigerians should be patient with them.
