40 women abducted in Wagga and village attacked in Michika, as Boko Haram continues offensive

There are reports that Boko Haram terrorists moved into an Adamawa town called Wagga on Wednesday, where they abducted 40 women.

The latest abduction comes despite the insistence of the federal government that it secured a truce with the terrorists. However, since that truce was announced, neither the violence, nor the abduction has ceased.

We are still monitoring this latest development.

Meanwhile, in Michika local government area of Adamawa state, gunmen attacked a village called Sina on Saturday night.

According to reports, the insurgents in their hundreds emerged from the bush and started killing and burning houses, cars, domestic animals and other property.

A community leader in Michika, Dr. Caleb Filli said the insurgents burnt down all houses in the village, forcing residents to flee.

The number of people who were killed in the attack is still uncertain
