When Pres. Goodluck Jonathan met with the speaker of the Nasarawa assembly on Thursday, it was believed that he was prevailing on the speaker to discontinue the impeachment process against the APC state governor, Tanko Al-makura. That meeting however has not slowed down the impeachment process.
On Friday in Lafia, the state capital, the chief judge of the state, Justice Suleiman Dikko constituted a seven-man panel to investigate the allegations of gross misconduct and misappropriation of funds leveled against Governor Tanko Al-Makura.
This followed the directive given to the chief judge on Wednesday by the assembly to constitute an investigation panel in one week.
