In Nasarawa, crisis is brewing as various interest groups continue to protest the planned impeachment moves against the state governor, Tanko Al-makura.
Yesterday some youths visited the Emir of Lafia to protest against the plot, while women marched on the streets and were later addressed by the wife of the governor.
The situation has gone fully sectional now, as youths from Gwandara (where the governor hails from) and those from Eggon (where the minister of information, Labaran Maku, hails from) clashed yesterday, after which three people died and one person was injured.
Many believe that Maku’s ambition is the trigger behind the plot by the assembly to impeach the governor.
Below is one of several Labaran Maku’s billboards dotting the Nasarawa landscape as the minister reportedly readies to declare for the office of governor.
